“We haven’t drafted a skill position player in the first round of the NFL Draft since myself, I think it would be cool if we got one and I think we just might. Whoever the pick is, I will track down his phone number and welcome him to the team”. This is a quote fromContinue reading “An Exposition: Why did the Packers take Jordan Love?”
Months of research and hype has all lead up to the NFL Draft and now that it has come and gone, it’s time to grade each team’s class. These grades are all my opinion and based off the talent and fit I see in each pick. However, I do think about three years in isContinue reading “2020 NFL Draft Grades”

Tua Tagovailoa, Quarterback, Alabama | Year: Junior | Height: 6-1 | Weight: 219 | DNP at Combine Insane ball placement in minuscule windows and deep balls. Deadly accurate and consistently produces gorgeous touch passes even under pressure. Deliberate placement

Justin Herbert, Quarterback, Oregon Year: Senior | Height: 6-6 ¼ | Weight: 236 | pSPARQ (Combine Percentile): 88.41 Strengths: Herbert has the requisite traits that scouts will seek in an NFL quarterback – a tall and lanky frame with plenty of room left to add more muscle to his 237 lbs, an incredibly talented arm thatContinue reading “Justin Herbert Scouting Report”
Love’s natural ball placement and excellent accuracy to all levels of the field is very impressive and he has made some absolutely stunning throws. Consistently makes all types of throws and hits receivers perfectly in stride consistently. Anticipation of defenders is very good as well.
Route running is just as good as any NFL receiver out there, he has shown he can run any route and perform any move asked of him nearly perfectly every time. Hands are incredible and catch balls thrown all around him. Seems to manage to come down with a shocking number of balls for his size, demonstrating his physical toughness. His run after catch ability is unparalleled and is the best I’ve seen in a number of years, has elite breakaway speed and crazy jukes, spins and other creative moves you can’t even think of.
A very smart and young quarterback with a mature football processor for his age. Excellent at throwing outside the numbers – specifically back shoulder throws. Extremely good decision making, will hardly ever but the ball in harm’s way. Fromm has a very good understanding of pre/post snap reads and uses them effectively to make smart decisions.
Jalen Hurts, Quarterback, Oklahoma Year: Senior | Height: 6-1 | Weight: 222 | pSPARQ (Combine Percentile): 96.00 Strengths: Throws are generally accurate but don’t consistently make throws into tight windows. Has plenty of experience in big games and stays well composed under the brightest lights, thrives when the play breaks down and he is forcedContinue reading “Jalen Hurts Scouting Report”
Route running is very good at all levels of the field, brings a lot of nuance and finesse to the field. Has some of the best hands in recent memory, Is surprisingly good at 50/50 balls, has very few drops in career.
Insane speed and it really shows on tape. Very few people, if any, will be able to keep up with him even in the NFL.
1. Arizona Cardinals – Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma So, all the rumors were true – Kyler Murray is officially the number one overall pick. I personally feel Kyler is an electric player with game-changing abilities and I understand that he will fit Kliff Kingsbury’s system better but when you have Josh Rosen, a great playerContinue reading “First Round Grades and Analysis”
