2020 QB Projections 1.0

Link to projections.

For the full projections including pass attempts/completions, passing yards, touchdowns, interceptions, rushing attempts, yards and touchdowns as well as fumbles and 2 point conversions for 49 quarterbacks, click the link above. Otherwise find the fantasy rankings based off of these projections down below.

Firstly, I’d like to note I would not use these rankings to draft from – I believe other factors like boom/bust potential or injury risk must be factored in to make an informed pick. To see my 2020 draft rankings click here. It’s important to remember each player has many things to consider such as how talented are they, is there an opportunity for them in their offence and if so, how much, as well as offensive scheme/play-calling tendencies.

However, using past performances, market shares and a bit of personal opinion to project how many points each player will have this season does give you an objective set of rankings based on your inputs alone. Often times, simply asking yourself to envision a player’s season regardless of any rankings or pre-conceived ideas can result in finding the diamonds in the rough to win you championships.

My methodology for projections is to start with QB’s and then go team-by-team. I look at averages over QB’s careers, tendencies of coaches that have been added as well as new additions (or losses) to the offense. Based off of these QB projections and past market share, factoring new changes and available market share, I project each skill position player.

I did find the differences between my draft rankings and my projection rankings interesting – for example, Minshew projects to be 10(!) spots higher than my rankings. Hence, I added a difference column between my rankings and these ones (I have also added how these compare to ECR).

With all that said, here are the fantasy rankings:
